however, it IS my passion. It's not only what I went to school for 7 years studying, and what I practice 60 hours a week for a huge effing company, but also what I eat, drink, sh*t, and think about while I sleep. How can I make things better, faster, more reliable, cheaper, safer? Sure, a lot of what I comment on is based on theory - but who do you think wrote metallurgical and ceramic books? Theorists, or real designers with real world experience? Actually, the answer is both. An old school welder may say, "you can't do a, b, or c", and you may say "why?". He'll reply, "just because you can't". This is the real world experience, but there are legitimate reasons 'why' these things happen. That's where the marrying of theory and experience are so critical. I think some of what you guys do is awesome, but the mix of shit talking that goes along with it - [ http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=1082405 ] - for example, is absolutely ridiculous. Run your damn business, develop products, and fuc*ing-a have fun. Sometimes it just isn't worth it to attempt to insult one's credibility (like you have attempted on me) in an attempt to promote yourself or make your product (or product knock-off) look better. SS
